Wow. It's almost already the end of January! Amazing!! So far I'm doing pretty good with my budget. Since I am still working on stockpiling some, I have spent a little more than planned. I'm not doing this to restrict myself, but to see how much money I can save. Since my savings are still right at 75%, I'm happy.

I went to CVS today and was able to get 6 bags of chips and 2 12 packs of soda for our superbowl party for FREE with coupons and ECBs. Not to mention the 4 free bottles of shampoo I got.

I'm excited about my new discovery!! www.upromise.com I had signed up for this a couple of years ago and was just reintroduced to it today. You sign up online and then you register your credit cards, debit cards, store discount cards, etc and for different purchases you get different percentages deposited back into your upromise account. What I found out today was that even though its "saving for college" you CAN request for them to mail you a check that you can cash and use for anything. One lady on hotcouponworld.com was able to cash her account balance in for $400. Why not sign up and get percentages back for the money you are already spending?!

This year I plan on planting a bigger garden. I also would LOVE to learn how to can. Not sure I can teach myself how to do that though. We'll see. I'm also considering buying a bread maker, to start making our own bread and pizza crust. We don't eat ALOT of bread, but its definitely healthier. I'm weighing the cost though...we'll see.

So this thriftywife is married to a techie that wants to buy a iphone next month....yah... :)

Oh man, yeah Josh is craving for the iPhone. If there was anyway I could afford one, he'd have it, but yeah. I can't.
